Why Everyone Should Become an Entrepreneur Now

One thing I am all about is making things happen. I love setting goals and I love the process of achieving them even more. Don’t get me wrong, I like my job as a learning consultant, but I love working my fitness business. Both of them allow me to help people, but only one allows me to do it completely on my own terms, while giving my own honest opinions.
Let’s Talk About The Money
This is always something nobody wants to talk about. But the truth is, when you are an entrepreneur, the income possibilities are endless. As a learning consultant, you can only make so much. Of course, you can move up to an administrator, which I do plan on doing since I have my certifications, but even then, you can only make so much. And I know what you’re thinking, principals make a lot of money. Well, of course they do. But that’s not the point. While lots of professions make a lot of money, entrepreneurs can make an endless amount of money depending on how much work you want to put into it. And I don’t know about you, but I’m willing to put the work in. One thing I’ve learned about the benefits of being an entrepreneur, and one of them is, to put the work in now so you won’t have to work as hard later. Also, the possibility of being able to stay at home with my kids one day, makes it worth it just for that. And the greatest thing about making money as an entrepreneur?? It’s that coaching is just ONE way to earn money! That’s right. SO many people think it’s about being salesy and trying to get people to buy stuff form you, but the truth is, I don’t feel salesy at all, and I have a few other systems in place as a way to earn an income.
Ways to Make an Income as an Entrepreneur
Of course there is coaching itself. There’s a compensation plan for the activities that each independent coach and their team does that allows for you to make an income as well as earn prizes and trips. But aside from that there are a few other ways to earn money as well. They are as follows:
- Starting a YouTube channel. You can check out mine here.
- Starting a blog. Did you know that in addition to being able to give your opinions, you can monetize your blog as well? Being a fitness coach gives me a platform to base it off of as well as an audience, and then I can make money off of it!
- Social media- Mainly Instagram right now. It’s no secret these days that being a “social media influencer” is actually a job! Again, being a fitness coach gives me a platform and purpose, and I can work from there.
- Product affiliations. Once you establish yourself on social media as an influencer, you can start to work with companies as a brand representative or even to get free products to test out. And you do not have to have a huge following. I signed up for Influenster and they already sent me a free box of products for my entire family to test out, including the dog!
- Write an e-book. These days it’s so easy to do and and once you establish your social media channels, you can use them to promote your book!
Being an Entrepreneur Has Given Me a Chance to Voice My Opinion
So yes, the monetary aspect is the best thing about becoming an entrepreneur, but being able to share my opinions and tips and motivate and help people has been the biggest thing I have enjoyed about this journey so far. When I started this gig, I had no idea how I was going to make it work or what I had to offer anybody. I wasn’t even fit at the time! I just knew that if other people were able to do it, then so could I. So I dove in and learned along the way. And the biggest thign I learned was that I really do have so much to offer people. In addition to the women whose lives I have helped transform with their weight loss journeys, I have found that I am a great resource for all sort of mom tricks and tips. I started off just sharing them as posts, and then I found blogging which lets me share my thoughts much more in depth than I can in a post.
Being An Entrepreneur Makes You a Better Person
This is the one that took me a long time to buy into. That is the aspect of personal development. So as a teacher they always have you do what they call professional development, which is exactly the same concept. The difference is that professional development is learning things geared specifically towards your career, whereas personal development can be anything that makes you a better person or better at what you do. But if you’re in the teaching profession maybe you can relate. The professional development they give you almost always sucks and is a complete waste of time. For that reason I looked at professional development as a complete waste of time as well. Then I found my first PD book. I had heard from someone that it was a good first book to start with so I figured why not? It turned out I wasn’t able to put the book down. I learned so much from just that one book that I couldn’t wait to see what I could learn from so many others. It gave me tools and strategies right away that I could not only implement in my everyday life, but also in my business. I truly believe it changed the way I look at everything I do in life. But the biggest thing I learned is WHY NOT YOU?
If you want to join me on the wonderful journey of becoming an entrepreneur, I would love to take this ride with you. Because that’s another great thing about becoming an entrepreneur- there’s always room at the top. Fill out my free consultation form here and let’s chat!
