Results Are Not Made In The Gym

It wasn’t until I gave up my expensive gym membership that it all started to fit into place. It’s not about spending a lot of money on fancy gyms, or fad gyms, or even personal trainers. I know because I tried them all. Here’s why they don’t work.
I used to spend hours at the gym. Hours. Doing cardio. Lifting weights. But just because you work out for hours doesn’t mean you will look like it. I also worked out with personal trainers. Problem solved, right? Not at all. Unless you can afford to work out with one every single day, (which who can??) you’re only getting a good workout in once or twice a week. Even if you replicate what you do with them, you are continuing to work the same muscle groups and not any new ones. I also went to a boxing gym. Which is no doubt an awesome workout. I truly loved it. However, I couldn’t commit to it everyday. For one, you can only go when classes are offered. So working full time and having a family didn’t always allow for their schedule to work with mine. Besides the fact that after work it took me away from my family for almost two hours extra a day. By the time I got to the gym early enough to get a bag and set up, took an hour long class, and then cleaned my bag and drove home, it felt like I was never with my family. Not exactly the ideal situation for 7 days a week. So what’s the answer? It’s about finding balance.
It’s about incorporating the right type of fitness routine with proper nutrition along with accountability to keep you on track. I now work out for 30 minutes a day, I eat like a truck driver, I find motivation in a supportive community, and I met my goals faster than it took me to cancel my gym membership. Here’s why it works. For one, I am working out with a trainer everyday, for every workout. Each program has different workouts for different days of the week to keep your body guessing and engage all your muscle groups. As long as you follow the program as it’s laid out in an easy to follow guide, you WILL get the results you have always wanted. I work out for a half hour each day, which makes it feasible to stick to everyday when you have kids. And I work out at home. So there’s no commute time back and forth, no need for childcare, and I can work out on my own time. Some days I’m working out before work at 6:30am and other days it’s 11pm after everyone is sleeping. Plus, you pay one low fee to access over 600 programs and you are set for an entire year. Still not convinced? Check out my results after one round of an 8 week program:
