Small Changes Make a Big Difference

When I decided to take control of the way I was feeling about myself after I had Joey, I made a promise that I was going to do whatever it took to loose the weight. I had finally hit a breaking point that had never happened before for me. With my new mindset, I changed the way I ate, I added the RIGHT exercise into my daily routine, and I amped up my results and nutrition with my shake (ok, this part was not hard at all). To read about what brought me to that point, read my blog on postpartum depression and my journey. But not everybody is ready to make those changes right away.
If you are one of those people, and you start a nutrition and exercise plan at the same time, you may not stick to it if you’re not all about it. Don’t get discouraged. Instead, make small changes each week. Decide what the lesser of two evils is for you, either working out or eating right, and start with that. Let’s say you don’t mind exercise but aren’t quite ready to start a regular routine. Instead, try small changes to sneak exercise into your day. Maybe you start taking the stairs instead of the elevator at work. Or you park as far as you can from your building so you have to walk further to and from your car. Each week, add a new goal on top of the one from the previous week. Before you know it, you will be ready to start a regular fitness routine! On the other hand, if you would rather start working on your nutrition first, maybe you pick one meal and substitute a calorie filled side for a side salad. Or maybe you replace your daily coffee and donut run with a coffee and a fruit salad. Making smaller changes makes it easier for you to stick to something, and the results really add up over time.
With all that being said, I do, however, recommend doing it the way I did if you want to see results much quicker. Starting a fitness and nutrition routine isn’t as hard as you think it is when you choose the right one. Fortunately for you, I have hundreds of fitness programs for you to choose from and one easy to follow meal plan, that I will help you customize to you!
