The Benefits of Turmeric

Whenever possible, I prefer taking the most natural approach to preventing and curing ailments. I am not opposed to medication when it is absolutely necessary, however, I prefer to go the natural route whenever possible. There are so many different things you can consume from apple cider vinegar, to lemons, to spices like Turmeric. There is such a big push from the pharmaceutical companies and doctors for all sorts of medications, that none of these foods/ingredients are getting the attention they deserve for what they can do for our bodies. The best reason of all to use something natural is it doesn’t come with all the side effects that you get with medications.
There are so many things Turmeric can be used as an anti-depressant, and anti-inflammatory, to manage arthritis, to manage diabetes, to regulate cholesterol, help with gastrointestinal issues, to manage pain, and it has even been proven to help kill cancer cells.
Of course I am not a doctor and I am not telling you to go against your doctors orders. If your doctor advises you as to certain medications for any of the above ailments, please take them seriously. However, if you are at risk for any of these conditions, why not start using Turmeric as a preventative measure? I’m a huge believer in treating things before they even become a thing. And if you’re worried about how you are going to incorporate it into your diet, blend it into your shake in the morning! I put everything in there so I can’t even taste it!
