The Best Healthy Snacks For Weight Loss

When you’re trying to loose weight, it always seems like you are hungrier than usual. And you very well might be if your body was used to eating at certain times throughout the day. However, you don’t need to go hungry n order to experience weight loss. Instead of limiting your foods, you just need to eat smarter. Watch my quick video to see what I mean.
Now that you know it doesn’t take starving yourself to shed those extra pounds, you’re probably wondering what it is that you CAN eat to satisfy your appetite and reduce your caloric intake. I’ll tell you what it’s NOT- that greasy bag of chips from the vending machine. You know, the one that will cost you $1.00, has about 240 calories per bag, and when you open it you find out you paid for five chips and a bag of air. And then you are still left hungry because even though you ate a ton of calories, there was hardly anything there to leave you feeling satisfied. And on that same note, those convenient grab and go bars, such as granola bars, are also high in calories and will leave you feeling like you never ate. Then what happens is you eat again, taking in double the calories that u=you should be for snack time. Instead, try some of these healthy, filling options:
~ A 100 calorie whole grain English muffin or 2 slices of Pepperidge Farm 45 calorie per slice whole wheat bread with 1 tbsp peanut butter and a half of a sliced banana.
~ 1/2 cup non fat plain yogurt with 1 tsp pure maple syrup and 1 cup fresh fruit.
~ 1 medium apple with 1 tbsp of any nut butter.
~ 2 egg cups packed with cut up veggies.
~ Cut up vegetables with this healthier ranch dressing.
~ Cut up vegetables with homemade hummus.
Then of course my go to snack, which is so filling that I usually use it as my breakfast, is my shake. In a blender I put 1 cup water, 1 1/2 cups ice, and 1 scoop chocolate Shakeology (because that’s my favorite), and blend it until it’s completely smooth and all the ice is gone. It tastes just like a frosty from Wendy’s except it’s 1/4 of the calories of a medium frosty (460 calories vs the 160 calories in Chocolate Shakeology), and it’s packed with vitamins, nutrients, and promotes weight loss.
So next time you want to grab the chips, think about how you will not only be hungry again in a short period of time, but all the extra calories you will consume as a result, and instead reach for one of the snacks I mentioned above to fill you up and keep you satisfied until your next meal!
