The Healing Effects of Ginger

If you’ve ever had an upset stomach in your life, you have probably had some one tell you to drink ginger ale. I was told to drink it as a kid with a stomach ache and then when I became pregnant and suffered from morning sickness, I was told to drink ginger ale. Ginger root has been used for digestion, an upset stomach, nausea, and diarrhea for years.
The reason why it supposedly works is becasue of the ginger root in it. I say supposedly because some say there is nothing to show that ginger root has any of these healing properties, however, others say that studies have shown it has been known to alleviate and/or help with many things. However, if you do choose to use ginger ale to treat your upset stomach, you need to be cautious about the ginger ale that you choose. If you really want it to have the best chance of working, make sure you pick a soda with real ginger root. Otherwise, you are just drinking unnecessary sugar.
There are also a few more things ginger is known for. It is said it helps fight against heat attacks and strokes, helps to boost the immune system, fight against bacterial and fungal infections, improve diabetes, and help with pain relief.
If it works, I would rather eat ginger and drink giner ale than take lots of medications with nasty side effects!
